Disappearing the Gasometer of Sao Cristovao location in Rio de Janeiro, RJ that belonged to CEG - Natural Gas Co. of Rio de Janeiro, GASCAT won the bid with a customized project and is manufacturing the biggest PRMS - Pressure Regulating and Metering Station of Natural Gas of Brazil that will be installed with 5 pressure regulating streams and 5 metering streams.

The Pressure Regulating and Metering Station of Sao Cristovao, as it is knowed, receives the natural gas from a gas pipe of 14inches; it is doubly filtered in the filtration unit through cyclone and cartridge filters of GASCAT line for after this reduce and control the pressure through of 5 streams per modern pressure regulators of 6 inches of diameter designed and manufactured by GASCAT, with certification of DVGW Germany and CE Stamp. The 5 streams still have flow meters that allow to identify the consumption of each one that will supply the 4 main outlet lines to the city - 2 with 14 inches of diameter and 2 with 10 inches diameter.

This new Station will be installed in 300m² in the Sao Cristovao Street in a area of 116,000m² that makes part of Porto Maravilha Reurbanization Project, and will be responsible of Rio de Janeiro city gas supply with 1,270,000 m³/day, being 430,000 m³/day to North region and 840,000 m³/day to South region.
